Ivonne Mercado
: Founder
Ivonne Mercado has a varied background in publishing, acting and currently the travel industry. While briefly living in Virginia, she served as a National Accounts Manager for a publication. In 1995, she created a multi-faceted company dealing with publishing, advertising and public relations that illustrated her concern for the Hispanic American Community. DanEd Enterprises, Inc. published seven editions of !Hola! New York, New Jersey, Connecticut a Hispanic Resource Guide that can be purchased at Amazon.com or through this site. Mercado also provided production, advertising, public relations and virtual assistant services to private clients and Fortune 500 clients.
Mercado was born in New York City, to Mexican and Puerto Rican parents. She graduated with a B.A. from Adelphi University, Magna Cum Laude. Mercado briefly worked as a background actress on Law & Order, Sopranos, Third Watch and other TV shows and films. She is the recipient of awards including: "The Dr. Ramon Ermeterio Betances Award for Leadership" by the Puerto Rican Day Parade; Cornerstone of Medical Arts for "Dedication to a Drug Free Community"; "Gift of Life" an organ donor, non-profit organization and The Grand Council of Hispanic Societies for her "Committment to Excellence". She served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Queens Chapter and the Mexican American Athletic Club of New York City. Currently, she is employed as a flight attendant at JetBlue Airways where she assists in ensuring the safety of passengers and crew and doing what she enjoys - travelling and meeting new people. She is blessed to be Edward and Daniels' mum.
Carlos Rivera: Web Adviser
Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Carlos Rivera spent his early years in New York and began his elementary schooling in New Jersey. He returned to the island in the middle of his fifth grade and graduated from secondary school there in 1990. Mr. Rivera graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master's degree in Business Administration in 1998 and 2001 respectively.
